FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

What types of dog training do you offer?

I offer a small number of focused programs designed around real life, not volume or cookie cutter packages. This includes a 14 day Board & Train for owners who want a full immersion, a four week in person training program for those who want hands on guidance while staying involved in the process and Behavior Reset, which is a remote coaching and training framework built to help owners understand their dog and create lasting change in everyday situations. I also run a very small weekday adventure group for dogs that are already solid or have completed training and are ready for structured on/off leash outings. I keep my offerings limited on purpose so I can stay present, intentional, and focused on outcomes rather than volume.

Where are you located, and what areas do you serve?

We’re based in Austin, Texas and proudly serve Bee Cave, Westlake, Lakeway, Dripping Springs, and surrounding Hill Country areas. However it is not uncommon to receive dogs from all over the state and out of state.

Do you offer board and train programs?

Yes, our immersive board and train programs are designed for real, lasting transformation not just a quick fix. Our 14 Day Board and Train is our top seller.

What’s your approach to training?

Our training focuses on connection, clarity, structure, and leadership using a balanced, holistic approach. We train the dog in front of us, not with a cookie cutter method. We are not treat dispensers with a clicker. It’s real deep work at a nervous system level with nutritional depth.

How much do your services cost?

Training and remote training and adventure rates vary depending on the program. Pricing is available on our site and we’ll guide you to the best option when you call.

How long does training take?

Most programs range from 2–6 weeks depending on your dog’s needs, temperament, and training goals.

What is Legion Adventure Days?

It’s our elite full day dog adventure service. Dogs get outdoor time, on and off leash, enrichment, socialization, and structured walks/play designed as an exclusive membership for dog loving Families.

Do you offer dog walking or pet sitting?

No. We do not offer dog walking or pet sitting. However previous training and adventure dogs are welcomed for boarding.

How do I get started?

Give us a call or email directly from our website. We’ll learn more about your dog and guide you to the best path forward.

Do you work with aggressive or reactive dogs?

Absolutely. We specialize in helping reactive, fearful, and aggressive dogs learn to feel safe and confident and teaching you how to keep the progress going at home.

What happens after my board and train is complete?

Your dog’s training does not end the day they go home. Board & Train includes handoff guidance and a defined transition support period to help you apply what was taught. The strongest results come when owners stay consistent and follow through at home.

Do you offer lifetime follow up?

No. Training programs include a defined support and transition period, not open ended lifetime follow up. If a client reaches back out long after a program has ended, that is typically treated as a new training need rather than a continuation of the original stay.

What if my dog struggles after coming home?

Some adjustment during the transition home can be normal. That is why concerns should be communicated early while the dog is still fresh in the new routine and the transition is actively being worked through.

What if problems come back months later?

When behavior concerns return or remain unresolved after a long gap, that is usually no longer part of the original training window. At that point, it is treated as a new training need because behavior is shaped heavily by day to day handling, consistency, and repetition in the home.

Can you guarantee permanent results?

No trainer can guarantee permanent results without owner follow through. Training gives the dog a clearer foundation, but long-term success depends on how consistently that structure is maintained at home.
